Q&A

Question 1. Why does the multimeter/clamp meter not return to zero in the millivolt position? And the numbers are constantly changing?

Answer: This is because the input impedance of the digital multimeter's millivolt position is high, generally above the Gio (GΩ) level. It is very strong for the voltage source. When the test leads are open, the voltage is at a small voltage level such as DC. Volt (mA DC), AC millivolt (mV AC), the induced voltage generated by the electromagnetic waves in the surrounding environment is easily detected by the multimeter, the display is not zero, this is normal! However, if the multimeter is shorted, the multimeter reading should be zeroed.
